Volturno Pizza

The pizzas are good but definitely pricey. Make sure to come on Monday or Tuesday for their buy one get one deal. My favorite is the funghi but haven't been disappointed by any of their pizzas yet. The sangria also rotates weekly, and usually their flavors are cool. Would definitely recommend the nutella strawberry dessert pizza too.

The food is fantastic hands down. Everytime Ive been here I get treated like family the people are so friendly and nice.

Love this place. Unique food selection and pizza menu. All delicious and the waitstaff is awesome. They also run periodic cooking classes and make - your-own-pasta courses. Fun.

Love the vibes here. When I first walked in, the grand eclectic bar stood in the center of the restaurant with beautiful hanging lights dangling over the entire restaurant. The whole place took me back in time with a Mediterranean rustic atmosphere. The foods here were great. It has wide variety of drinks 🍸 like the especial edition “ Blizzard of 78 brown English ale from the wormtown brewery next door. Can’t go wrong with Pizza 🍕 and a cold beer 🍺! The pizza here had a great crust and a grand wood burning oven. Worcester has come a long way with this new addition!!

Service was terrific! Courtney served us. She rocks! The food & drink.., spectacular! Best pizza I've had in quite a while! The aromas were a swarm of stimulus! We also had appetizers, not pictured, which were as great!

Excellent food. If you like brick oven pizzas, craft beer and homemade pasta this is where its at!! Great parking (always nice in Worcester) and very classy.

We stopped in for the first time today for my husbands birthday lunch and were greeted with amazing hospitality. The service was great and the food came out fast and was delicious! During our meal, without the owner knowing it was my husbands birthday, he offered us his favorite pizza to try on the house as he could tell it was our first time there! We also got a strawberry and Nutella pizza for his birthday! It was a very unexpected and special treat! Thank you!!

Wednesday is a slow night so we thought why not Italian , we ordered the Patatas and mushrooms for starters quite surprising crispy fingerling spuds boiled and then fried were delicious , then we got the brick chicken and Braised Rib , unfortunately the rest of dinner was underwhelming the vegetables were too lemony the risotto too salty n mushy , almost like bad execution on a good idea , too many flavors the drown out the natural sweetness of the ingredients, keep it simple is my advice to the chef , adding fancy ingredients doesn’t guarantee elevated flavor on the contrary in this case my mouth was confused textures and flavors were mismatched a

Limited menu if you want something besides pizza... Pizza is a little pricey. Have been coming since they opened. Food quality is good. Real stand out is usually their risotto ball of the day. Always a good bet. Service is always good, noise levels can get really loud... We will be back as hubby loves the Margarite pizza, so I indulge him occasionally 😍

The food was delicious! The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. They had great music going, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The staff was immediately welcoming. Our server was super friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and accommodating to our requests. We will definitely return!

Overpriced mediocre pizza. It’s very, very expensive for pizza - this is Worcester, not Chicago or NYC. Been here a few times and always say I’ll never go back because I could not believe how much I just paid for “just OK” pizza. Seems like people come more for the atmosphere than the food as it’s a trendy place on a bustling street. Other reviews are good so obviously many people like it but I just just don’t understand how as the pizza is underwhelming. I do like thin crust but not here. Many other great / better pizza options in the area to choose over this.

Great pizza. No complaints on the food and the drinks are creative. The only problem (and for me it's a big one) is this place is prohibitively expensive, I cant be paying $100 for pizza all the time and I want pizza more than once a month so that makes me search elsewhere. I want to rate it lower because of the price thing but it's good food so I won't.

Great pizza! The bread is delicious, we used it to scoop up the sauce from our arancini.

You will never be disappointed by this Pizza house.  They always serve everything hot a fresh!!  The guy working the counter was extremely friendly!

Their pizza is amazing! Their ovens cook it in minutes, and we got an app. I don't remember what it was called but it was so good! We'll be back!

Volturno's has a huge reputation here in Worcester for great pies. We decided to try them out and see for ourselves. The place is very well kept , large open room with view of the kitchen and ovens. Prices are in line with other Neapolitan pizza restaurants in the area. Service was quick and attentive and the food lived up to the hype. Very good option if you are already downtown. Not sure I would drive here instead of to another closer Neapolitan pizza place if I was not nearby.

Its been a long time since I've had pizza like this. Beyond fantastic. The service was outstanding and learning about the history of the building they're in was quite interesting. I was visiting on a business trip and loved it so much I plan to visit Worcester and Boston on a personal trip. In addition to the pizza the tomato bisque was outstanding and the perfect finish was the salted caramel truffle gelato.

Great place. Fantastic array of Italian food thin crust pizzas divine. Open airy place - well laid out. Thank God they have their own parking lot. Very busy street accessing place. Fun place

Volturno has THE BEST pizza. I've always wanted to come here but have been drawn in by other restaurants nearby. I finally got the chance to go and buy have I been missing out. We ordered the bruschetta and the Volturno pizza. It was the perfect amount for two at lunch time. The bruschetta was a pillowy sponge of heirloom tomato and fresh ricotta.

Ran in for a quick, very quick lunch. Empty. Very empty and very slow to seat me. Didn't even order pizza because by the time they did seat me. I was in a rush. But they were graceful and took good care of me as I enjoyed my lovely and perfect OCTOPUS. Perfectly charred, can cut with a fork. Crispy potatoes and a very spicy sauce it just hit the spot. Thanks guys!

Way to pricey and they try WAY to hard to be trendy and hip. They try to hard to be a trendy place yet they serve the same food all the other places do. Nothing cutting edge, nothing special, fake trendy hipster vibe, yet they charge prices for their food as if they are the most trendy and special place around. For a restaurant that reeks "eat here because we are trendy and cool" they come across more like "PLEASE eat here. We think we are hot stuff and trend setters. Even tho we have nothing special to offer"

Food is generally good but dang, service is slooooow and often inaccurate. Have tried going on slower nights, earlier, later, but service is consistently poor. Also, it's usually very loud. Parking can be a hassle. Framingham location is 100% better.

The octopus, barrata, and pizza are all amazing! It is a super fun atmosphere. Plus the staff is awesome. They are wiping down every menu after each person touches it, table and the bathrooms regularly!

Come here for pizza and only get the pizza. The pizza is 5/5 stars, the pasta.....yeah get the pizza. My favorite is the Bianca. Something about the runny fried egg complements the flavors of the toppings perfectly. I've never had a pizza I didn't like here. The ambience inside is nice; its usually pretty crowded, but the high windows and industrial-chic decor makes the space feel youthful and energetic rather than crowded.

Just can't bring myself to like the pizza here. Personal preference but it just doesn't taste good. I've visited three times and the only reason I've gone back a couple times is because the person I was with liked it. Parking is free, though it can get difficult on the busy nights. Drinks are reasonable for the type of restaurant it is. Beer selection isn't too varied but they typically had something of most styles.

Nice Italian food restaurant. The place has good lighting and high ceiling. I ate spaghetti but sauce with pepper was overpowering pasta. My friend ate salmon and she said lemon sauce was too powerfull too. I think the quality of the food could be better if they don't let the sauce overpower the star of the food. We went there on Tuesday and it was a buy one get one pizza day!

What a nice surprise this place was the pizza was some of the best I've ever had ,the service and wait staff was super friendly, prices are slightly high ,but consider you are on shrewsbury st Worcester , I am looking fwd to going back

Excellent food. Excellent service. Nice bar. The Amatriciana is quality. Great grilled chicken Caesar salad too. Worth the trip. Nice neighborhood w/lots of parking.

I love this place! Upscale and comfortable- great bar and atmosphere. Can’t beat 2 for 1 pizzas on Monday and Tuesdays. Plus they have their own parking and outdoor seating. One of my favorite Worcester joints.

Food looked delicious. The appetizer was good. The risotto was very bland. The pizza was also pretty bland. The desert was cold and crusty; we took one bite and returned it and got the gelato instead. The gelato was pretty good. The drink was “almost famous” and was good 👍; decently strong. Overall, spent way too much money on all of this and the entree’s were subpar and left there feeling still hungry. Probably wouldn’t go back for anything other than maybe drinks with friends.

Awesome place with friendly staff. Not a martini drinker, but the bartender recommended an espresso martini when I mentioned needing a pick-me-up. That drink was FANTASTIC!

Heard good reviews about this place so had to check it out. Very cute, “hip” interior and pretty good food too! Pizzas are creative, definitely on the thin crust side. Service was very good here. This place is good for anyone, went here on a date and we saw families, friends, couples, even a larger gathering (20+ people) seemed to be a reunion they got appetizer dishes. Was able to find parking in the back on a Monday night.

Solid pizza napoletana spot. Good beer and cocktail selection as well. Pictured is the volt unto...fresh mozzarella with arugula and prosciutto. Chewy crust with slight char. Definitely recommended for. Solid pizza fix.

Great Italian spot in Worcester! Happens to be across from another great Italian spot as well. The pizza is very good here and the service was at the same level. The burrata appetizer was delicious and we've always had very good meals here. Highly recommend!

Was real surprised and excited to hear that I could get authentic Neapolitan pizza right here in Worcester! The inside was fancy and very pleasant (great for a date). I ordered the fungi pizza and my girlfriend got the Bianca. The pizza had good presentation, with a charred crust and everything, but the taste and texture of both was slightly underwhelming in my opinion. Would probably come back, especially since there is a 2 for 1 deal on Mondays and Tuesday’s!

Excellent and unique pizzas and other entrees! Parking was tough at 6:45 pm Friday and there was a long wait for meal. Beer came early of course. Would come again because of great service and menu. Maybe on weeknight though.

Stopped in without a reservation, greeted well , very accommodating! Found 2 seats at the bar. The bartenders very personable and knowledgeable! We ordered a salad and pizza. Our salad was good nothing special. The pizza was disappointing. Went with the clam pizza. The clams were rubbery, seemed undercooked and had a funny lemony taste. We absolutely love clam pizza from a establishment near home so we know we like clam pizza! We visit the area regularly to visit an elderly family member and enjoy the Worcester restaurant scene. Loved the place next door on out last visit!!! Wish we had gone there!

Bartenders were really nice & informed. Food was great. Chic decor with huge windows. Also has a very large function room. Wormtown Brewery is right next door in the same building. Just an FYI😉

Great service and fab pizza!

We had different dishes which we shared. All were very tasty. A good time was had by all. Roomy, too.

Really good restaurant. Pizza was thin and not greasy, pretty authentic Italian pizza! The caprese salad is good but not extraordinary (very standard in presentation and size). I tried the tiramisu and it was pretty good too!
